INSTRUCTIONS TO SUBMIT PHOTOS FOR THE EDUCATION CENTER AT THE WALL

The National Call for Photos is being launched to collect pictures of each of the more

than 58,000 service members whose names are on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in

Washington, D.C. Family members, friends, neighbors and fellow service members are

invited to contribute photos. There are several ways to contribute a photo:

At a Fed Ex Office location

Fed Ex is a national partner in the Education Center Call for Photos. Personnel at every

Fed Ex Office location have been trained to help visitors scan and submit photos with the

proper documentation so that the service member pictured can be correctly identified.

To contribute a photo at a Fed Ex Office location:

  1. Find the FedEx Office location near you (it must be a FedEx Office® location):

http://www.fedex.com/Dropoff/start?locale=en_US&appId=WFXK

  1. Fill out the photo submission form, which gives information about you and

the person whose photo you are contributing.

  1. Give the form and the photo to a Fed Ex Office employee, who will scan

them while you wait.

  1. You leave with your cherished original photo.

By Mail:

  1. Make a copy of your photo. VVMF does not want original photos and cannot be responsible for returning photos to donors.
  2. When having the photo copied, ask the photo professional to:

-Make it the highest quality possible

-Use a glossy finish

-Reproduce the photo at an 8 x 10 size, if possible

  1. Fill out the photo submission form and package it up for mailing with the copy of the photo.
  2. When mailing, please indicate on the front of the envelope that a photo is enclosed. Mail to:
